OnePlus 10 Pro's Price Drops to $799 |
After a few months of high-end hardware upgrades, the OnePlus10 has finally dropped to its lowest price in years. Originally priced at $849, the device is now available for sale for just under half that amount, thanks to the company’s own promotional campaign and an unlocked stock supply.
For those who aren’t aware: The 11-inch Android smartphone is made by Asus, with some features coming from its predecessor. This includes an IPS LCD screen, a fingerprint scanner and more. However, it seems like some of these are being cut down to make room for the Snapdragon 8100 and an Adreno 620. Of course, while this is going on, the iPhone 12 lineup remains unchanged.
It should go without saying that there are many reasons why customers would want this phone over the vanilla model, however, two points stand out. Firstly, that it feels fantastic. Not only does it feel good, but there are also no complaints you have about the look or feel of the device. Secondly, it comes with quite a bit more power. It can double up as both a workstation as well as a productivity tool. And if something isn’t working as expected, then the OnePlus10 Pro will still let you know what happened. So, the fact that it doesn’t come cheap anymore doesn’t really matter. You get quite a lot for your money.
It is important to keep in mind that the handset is only officially available in countries like Brazil (where it was originally launched), Thailand and China where there is already support for other brands. If you live in one of those regions, then the best thing for you is to buy the variant that was initially offered but didn’t include a case or any accessories. The case of course comes in several colors such as blue, green and gray. As for the body, the standard version offers a 6.55-inch display and 4GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage, along with 256GB storage and 14-megapixel shooter. While the top tier edition brings along a 6.7-inch OLED screen, an extra 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. These specs also go across into a 5,000 mAh battery with 18-megapixel shooter.
It might seem odd to see the OnePlus10 Pro come on for less than half the original price, but it is done so to help raise awareness. Thanks to Samsung, it has been sold through authorized retailers, which means the device is readily available should anyone else decide they want it. Also, given that both versions are identical in every way with very minor differences, there shouldn’t be much difference between them. Therefore, the idea that OnePlus isn’t charging the full retail price for the product is probably a pretty big false hope. But even that can’t change how great the OnePlus10 Pro actually is. I’m really happy to see Apple finally jump ship with their new phones, and the launch of the OnePlus10 Pro makes me confident that we will see more devices running on Google’s upcoming mobile platform.
It is interesting to note that the brand is offering deals on this device, so even if you don’t think too highly of the software, you can save yourself a very nice deal. If you are not interested in buying the latest phone, there is also an option available to upgrade with a different color variant. At this point, it is unclear exactly what improvements will be introduced when the OS 12 update becomes official, but it sure as hell delivers. With that kind of power behind it, there is no reason not to give the OnePlus 10 Pro a shot. Plus once you get it, it will undoubtedly become your favorite Android phone.
