| Intensity of Monsoon continues, rain is expected in Karachi today |
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted that the intensity of the Monsoon system in Karachi, the country's largest city, is still expected, under which rain is expected here today.
He said that part of monsoon system is present over Rajasthan and East Sindh, the spread of this system is coming to Central Sindh and Balochistan.
The Chief Meteorologist has said that rain with thunder is expected in Eastern Sindh including Karachi today, while the rain is likely to continue intermittently till night.
He says that rain will continue in most parts of Sindh under the influence of the system till tomorrow night.
Sardar Sarfraz said that under the influence of this system, rain is likely to continue in Nawabshah, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Dadu till the morning of August 20.
He further said that there is a fear of urban flooding in urban areas due to the rains under the influence of this system.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz also says that rain is likely to continue intermittently till the evening or night of August 21 in Balochistan.
How much rain fell in Karachi from yesterday to this morning?
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has released the data of rainfall in Karachi from 8 am yesterday to 8 am today.
According to these data, the highest rainfall in the city has been recorded in Gulshan-e-Hadid with 102.2 mm.
According to the Meteorological Department, 60 mm of rain has been recorded in Sadar, 49 mm in Quaidabad, 44 mm in University Road, 37 mm in Gadap Town, 30 mm in Saadi Town, and 8 mm in Orangi Town.
21 decimal 4 at Jinnah Terminal, 19 decimal 1 at Old Airport, 13 decimal at Faisal Base, 13 decimal 2 mm of rain have been recorded in Nazimabad.
Similarly, 12 mm of rain was recorded in Gulshan-e Mimar, 11 mm of rain in Sarjani Town, 11 mm of rain in DHA, 10 mm of rain in Kemari, 9 mm of rain in North Karachi and 24 mm of rain in Korangi.
