| India released water in Chenab river, fear of high level flooding |
After the release of water by India, there is a fear of high level flood in Chenab river, due to flood situation, high alert has been issued in the adjacent areas of the river.
According to the Sialkot district administration, flood relief camps have been set up in the adjacent areas after the increase in the water level in Chenab river at Head Marala.
A red alert has been issued in the areas adjacent to Chenab river in Wazirabad.
The district administration has issued instructions to the residents living on the banks of the river to move their goods and livestock to safe places.
According to Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad, 6 flood relief centers and 9 boating points have been established after the increase in water level at Kadirabad Head.
