As per foreign media sources, the upcoming movie Dhirendra is on the verge of being banned in several countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE for spreading propaganda against Pakistan.
As per reports emerging from the media, these types of movies have been previously banned in Gulf Cooperation Council nations, but Dhirendra's production team still sought the approval for screening an anti-Pakistan film.
Not all countries approved the release of the film based on the counterpart controversy of the subject of the film. This is the reason for which Dhirendra could not be released in any Gulf country.
It is to be noted that the film was released on December 5 in India as well as the rest of the foreign nations. As of now, the movie has done a business of Rs 200 crore at the box office.
Besides Ranveer Singh, the lead actors of the movie include Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.

پاکستان مخالف پروپیگنڈے کے سبب مخالف غیر ملکی میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق فلم دھریندر کو بحرین، کویت، عمان، قطر، سعودی عرب اور متحدہ عرب امارات(یو اے ای) میں پابندی کا سامنا ہے۔
میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق ماضی میں بھی ایسی نوعیت کی فلموں پر جی سی سی کے ممالک میں پابندی عائد کی گئی تاہم دھریندر کی ٹیم نے اس کے باوجود پاکستان مخالف فلم اس خطے میں ریلیز کرنے کی اجازت طلب کی
تمام ممالک نے فلم کے متنازع موضوع کو بنیاد بنا کر فلم ریلیز کی منظوری نہیں دی۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ دھریندر کسی بھی خلیجی ملک میں ریلیز نہیں ہو سکی۔
واضح رہے کہ فلم نے 5 دسمبر کو بھارت اور دیگر بیرونِ ممالک میں ریلیز کی گئی۔ اب تک فلم نے باکس آفس پر 200 کروڑ روپے کا کاروبار کیا ہے۔
اس فلم کی مرکزی کاسٹ میں رنویر سنگھ کے علاوہ اکشے کھنہ، سنجے دت، آر مادھون، ارجن رامپال، سارہ ارجن اور راکش بیدی شامل ہیں۔
